The way he was treated, despite being our best player for over 10 years, was despicable. I don't care if he had an ego, and while its terrible how he treated guys like Ron Tugnutt, he was still our franchise player. Mario Tremblay should have never been hired due to his negative history with Roy. Roy should have never been kept in net for that Detroit game after the fourth goal. Roy should have never been traded in a moments notice by Houle and Corey.
To me, putting 33 in the rafters is an apology and a thank you. Thanks for everything, we're sorry how it ended.
