It strikes me that now is not the time to goo the trade route, we ought to exhaust our internal options before using any assets to fix something while the answer may still exist under our noses.

You may well be right about Gorges, but hey, let's find out. Sergei looks to have the same thing going for him but Gorges just hasn't been tried enough in real games for a good comparison to be made.
I still worry it'd take A.Kost too far away from the area he needs to be playing in, to put him at the point. He does have that howitzer shot we want -- if nothing else works maybe we'll try the 5-forward PP sometime with the Kostitsyn Bros. on the point?
EDIT: Hey didn't the London Knights do that? I know NHL clubs have gone there.
