. I just think we've got too many small d-men, no matter how "big" they play. Bouillon is a dense cube, but he'll never have the reach of a 6'4 d-man. Neither will Gorges. Brisebois is slow, O'Byrne and Dandenault aren't a a long time solution.
No d-men are "ready" in Hamilton. So we're well & screwed I think. Also, Komisarek is not playing at the level we expect this season. Uncharacteristic turnovers, fumbling of the puck and brain cramps. He's great but still, we're not in the same class as Detroit and San Jose.
