A player slumps, send him to Koivu's line and it works. Latendresse can only play with koivu, d'ags, higgins, andrei kostitsyn now...they all play better or get out of a slump when paired with koivu. He's an incredible player, a competitor. People can say what they want, that we should have a dif captain or whatever, but i'd bet that every guy in the locker room has respect for Koivu and feel he deserves that C.

When Koivu scores, it pumps me up more than another player's goal. When he scores you know the momentum will change. You know the team won't back down.
I guess you missed the 2007-2008 playoffs. Koivu would score and the team would hide.
