It used to take Canadiens goalie Carey Price five minutes to commute to the Bell Centre from his home in Old Montreal, affording him five more minutes of sleep if teammate Josh Gorges was behind the wheel.

Yesterday, it took Price 15 minutes to get to the Bell Sports Complex, the Canadiens' astonishing new $36-million practice facility in Brossard. "Now I can be awake by the time I get to the rink," he suggested yesterday.

Unless he moves closer, an idea he was considering.

Much closer.

"The TV set in the players' lounge is bigger than the one I have at home," Price said following his first eye-opening look at the South Shore facility.

"I might just set up my Xbox in there and hang out. Set up my bed in here. There are probably a few spare rooms. I could hide in here."
