The refs killed the game and decided the outcome. Perhaps each call in isolation was fine, but 11 penalties to 0 is a joke. The game was an awful piece of entertainment because the refs never let the players play. People don't pay to watch refing, they pay to watch hockey. Imagine if refs had done that to a home team- Richard riot #2.

Frequently there are games where one team is clearly much dirtier than the other and evening things up provides an unfair advantage to cheapshot artists. This game was nothing like that. In fact I don't even know what this game was like because the refs didn't even let them TRY and play till the 3rd period. Yes the habs were lazy and deserved to take more penalties than the Canes, but the fans deserve to see a hockey game, not a Ref's ego gone wild. And the diving was a disgrace, a true insult by the Canes who I always had a soft spot for. No longer.
