Anything that comes out of Medvedev's mouth is more than a proposal. The guy is basically a dictator (remember the KHL logo row?)

I have feeling the Larionov is behind this and he has too much influence. Like today, after the press con was over, he ask everybody to stay, and declares that as of next year the KHL will not allow their players to participate in Eurotour. Says who? Also, lack of diplomacy: he just blurts this out, apparently Medvedev and others looked surprised.

The crisis package: cutting non-salary expenditures, like pre-game camps ("base"), cutting on the summer training camps, cutting on training camps abroad, and a possible decrease of mid-level player salaries as of next year. Apparently according to them, salaries of non-star players do not correspond to their performance.
