NO ONE wants to be somewhere where they aren't wanted...so he could very easily be run out of town and he WOULD waive it. I hate seeing people act like this NMC is the end all be all of trades. McCabe had one, Boyle had one...it happens. Is he going to waive it to go to Atlanta? No. But he might waive it to go somewhere else, if all of a sudden he is disliked here.

All of that said, I don't see him traded ANYTIME soon. I just disagree when people make a NMC seem like it prevents people from even thinking about a deal.

LOL, this is great. Just because a few fans want to post NHL 08 trades on a message board means that he's not wanted in Philly anymore???? That's just classic. Please site one, JUST ONE little piece of FACT that the Flyers organization is unhappy with Briere and they don't want him here any longer. Yup, it worked so well for Toronto last year when they made it very public that they didn't want their stars any more and they WANTED to dump them to other teams. I guess there being cases from just last year where players with NTC/NMC's on teams that made it painfully obvious they didn't want them went ahead and DID NOT WAIVE THEIR NTC/NMC so they could go to a team that actually wanted them.

Simply THINKING something is true does NOT make it truth and factual.

Just how many people with a NTC/NMC have waiveed that clause after less than 1/4th of the contract they just signed??? Keep trying though, the Flyers aren't unhappy with Briere, they aren't looking to trade him, and he doesn't want to leave nor is he going to waive it.
