You can't ignore that the fact that the NHL still has small ice surfaces is to attract US investors, and US americans can only watch sports that have goals all the time...

International sized hockey is a more beautiful game, and can be at least as exciting as NHL sized rinks. A simple mind needs simple things to watch, like every goal is excitement, even if it's a ***** goal...

I prefer finnish ice surfaces. Best of both worlds, with the speed of NHL hockey and the beauty of olympic hockey (well, if there was more talent xD).
