And what is it that makes your OPINIONS facts, and others not? When used as a defenseman, Dale did fine as a #6/7. When Sather relagated him to role of a goon, playing him 2 minutes a night, his effectiveness decreased.
Malakhov and Poti added some offense -

Poti - gp 67 g 10 a 14 p 24 +/- -1
Malakhov - gp 71 g 3 a 14 p 17 +/- -7
Purinton - gp 40 g 1 a 1 p 2 +/- -9

Whilst Purniton has no offensive potential and was a -9. I know people are going to flame me for using stats but I feel in this case they are significant.

To be honest I hate Purinton and feel that there were better options available then a borderline AHL defenceman who's skating alone shows hes out of his depth at the NHL level.
