Let's take this one step at a time.

The high ankle sprains suffered by Higgins and Crosby (the serious kind) is worth 18 to 21 games (in their cases). That's about 6 or 7 weeks worth of hockey at this time of the year.

Price has been suffering this injury since losing to NJ on december 6th. Seven weeks from that point brings him to the All Star break. However, Price played 4 games in the middle of this stretch. So most likely he comes back at the AS break, or worse mid February.

I know mid February sounds bad, but it really isn't considering the break in the middle.
