This Los Angeles thing, who knows. You also gotta remember that a lot of players just get dealt a lot and has nothing to do with attitude or conditioning. Look at Steve Bernier. Never heard a single bad thing about the kid but he's already played for the Sharks, Sabres and now Canucks. And I doubt he'll be a Canuck for life.

LA is 3 points behind a playoff spot for the first time in a very long time and despite a lot of young talent, they are not getting the fire power they need to survive in the West. When your only veteran support is Armstrong, Handzus, O'Donnell and Gauthier, you're going to need more presence. Maybe trading a guy like Jack Johnson, when you can probably expect Thomas Hickey to come in next season, can bring in the type of veteran experience you need to bring to the team, plus a better goaltender to rely on. Maybe package Jack Johnson to acquire Roberts, Recchi and Kolzig from the Lightning along with a Lightning pick.
