I dont know, it seems he was pretty aggressive on the rush in the post season. To me a shut down center considers safety first, and plays defense in the offensive zone, getting the team set up, cycling the puck, always ready to break back the other way if they lose control of the puck. Primeau was carrying the puck across the line and going hard towards the net, leading the rush ahead of his wingers at times.
