Habs10Habs: It took 6 hours, in one shot. At the end, after 4 hours, it was becoming fairly painful. The last hour was the worst. I was tired, cold, hungry, weaker and it was more difficult to tolerate the pain.
Especially when he did the flames, on top of the shoulder, there's less meat/fat over there.
But, I'm already designing my 2nd tattoo. :-D
That's a long time to be sitting still and going through that. Kudos to you for having the patience and pain thresh hold to do it.
My first thought when seeing the tattoo was the flames. That area is quite sensitive so I could imagine the pain you went through while they coloured it in.
Good luck with your next design, and if you get a chance. Post it here, personally I'd love to see it.
