The onus is now on the NHLPA executive director Bob Goodenow and his team to counter with a proposal of their own although that may not happen next Wednesday in Ottawa.
``At the appropriate time we will be making a proposal but I just don't want to say that it will be at a particular meeting,'' Saskin said Tuesday evening on conference call.
i am totally on the players side with this but its time they came up with a proposal the owners can look at. we all know a deal will be made at some point in the future. i just don't understand why these guys don't put there best deals on the table to start.
perhaps brooks is wrong and the nhlpa is holding this thing up. I guess both parties are equally at fault in this mess. I know i'll come back if they go out a full year because jesus i post on a message board but it took americas game 5 years to win fan support back hockey doesn't have that sort of time table. I know i'm not saying anything new here but this whole thing is frustrating. This used to be a great time of year football season starting hockey training camp around the corner and mlb playoff races heating up.
honestly its all political b.s., blah blah blah is all it is , who cares . lets just hope they get an agreement going so we have some NYR hockey to watch this winter.
