update on ahl eligility during lockout

I got the newest THN today (dated 8/24/04) and in the 'snapshot' section it says that the league has done some backtracking on their ahl eligibility rules...

originally they said only players that played 50 or more games in the ahl would be allowed to be sent down during a lockout. but gms around the league have been flipping out over it because they weren't told until after the season is over...

nhl senior vp, bill daly said "we're reconsidering it" and THN says that it is expect that the league will just revert to regular waiver rules (based on the current cba)...

most of our kids were ok so it will effect other teams much more...but it will remove any questions about tyutin and blackburn, and if i understand the waiver rules it will also allow ortmeyer and betts to play in hartford (both previously wouldn't have been allowed)...

if that change takes place, the only ranger youth that wouldn't be allowed to play in hartford during the lockout is lundmark because he'd have to clear waivers
