He's not perfect, as it is hard to be a GM in this league and even tougher in Montreal with the additional variables he has to go up against.
I'd say he's doing what he can with what he has. Does some wise moves and moves that he might regret. But always does it with the right philosophy in mind, and that, I think is the best move in the long run, go with youth, continue to develop them and keep the most important vets while acquiring fill-ins to match certain needs.
