I beg to differ. I think Parent is perfectly fine in that role. Desjardins wasn't a banger and he was a solid guy because he was great positionally. Parent is that kind of player. He's a great positional player that doesn't take himself out of the play. He'll be perfectly fine in the top four. The Flyers really don't need Kubina, his 5 million dollar contract and the cost that it's going to take to acquire him. I'd rather the Flyers sit on the first round pick and let a guy like Parent play and get experience in this type of situation. It's more beneficial in the long run.
