boards: buy any large sheet of wood and cut it down to 2 1/2 feet tall so it keeps the water in (but only buy it if you're building your rink on an incline/decline) otherwise use snow (if your building the rink on a flat surface)
netting: increase the height of your boards or orientate the net so that you're not shooting at the house
