prospective movesWashington is sitting in a pretty good spot right now at 2nd in the east, having virtually locked up a playoff spot and the south east division. There is no pressure to make any major moves for now or the future. Forward lineup is pretty much set for the playoffs, especially if Clark comes back. On defense, Pothier should be back for the playoffs, but we are still looking for a veteran defensive defenseman, be it at the #1 spot or the #7 spot. Looking to move Nylander (2 more years at 4.8M) and willing to take on cap hits for next year to do so and/or package with picks for the said defenseman. Cap is very tight this year but very flexible for next year and the year after.
