Oh c'mon. I guess the 2nd and 3rd round picks were the deal-breakers in Vinnie's dossier.

Schneider was made available by the Ducks over the summer and he was dealt to Atlanta for scraps. Some posters were even talking about him last August. The fact that Gainey waited until he saw with his own eyes that our 2008-2009 PP was anemic before making Schneider a priority is a pretty clear sign that he might not of properly gauged Streit's importance to our PP.
