Moen has said he thinks it might have been unintentional, and Ott says it was an accident. The fact that Moen doesn't disagree with Ott's assessment leads me to believe Ott here. Little punk that he is, an eye-gouge would be unlike him. Borderline hit? Like him. Nasty stickwork? Very much like him. But the biting/gouging/hair-pull/ stomping business has never been his thing.

And it all started because Giguere overreacted to a play that happens every single game. Ott was asking for a retaliatory slash. Jumping him is over the line, especially a goalie who wants to start a fight with an injured guy but is too chicken to actually fight himself.
