If rubbing alcohol is not available, you can use bleach. Once a season, I take all my equipment, and put it in a bathtub. Fill bathtub up, use about 10% bleach to water, rub into your equipment, let it dry, spray it with disinfectant, let it dry, kaboom. Instant new stuff.

And yes, you can wash your gloves in the machine if you have a VERY gentle setting. I forgot about that, I dont have that on my washer
