To everything you've said in this thread.
While I am a bit upset to see Sappy go, he wasn't a BIG part of the Flames team last year. If he turns out in the future, and I think he will, good for him and the Yotes. Gauthier days in Calgary were numbered because at 1.6 he was too pricy for a #5/6.
To get a legitimate #2 C (split #1/2 with Reinprecht) that can play in both ends of the rink is not a bad move at all IMO. Especially one that can shine even more if given time with Iginla. Langkow is a very good hockey player, even at 2.9 million. That's less than Conroy got per year (3.15 / 4YR - No trade clause !!). Add the fact that he's younger than Conroy and a better player IMO.
