Turco's entering the age of goalies who's numbers don't get better. His best years are behind him. His athletic form won't improve with age. He's not 25, 28 or even 31 anymore. What upside is there for a guy who's going to turn 34 before the start of next season? He relies on his athletic skills to make plays because he's not a very technical goal keeper. Age catches up to all of us. Maybe he's still got three to five years. I don't know, but my best guess is probably not. I don't believe there's a way in the world he gets moved this off season. I do question as should everyone whether he should be retained beyond the length of his current contract.

What baring do stats three years ago have on him now? If he were 28 going into his prime they'd be relevant. 33 soon to be 34, questions about the quality of his play lately seem a little more important.
