I think its a bit early yet to think too much about next year.
Gainey does have his hands full with pending UFA, I have to assume that Kovalev will bolt and that some team will throw some money at Koviu and Komisarek. I also see Schneider retiring.
Assuming those three are gone, this team could possibly try to land Gaborik or Hossa if he hits the free agent market.

What the team really needs is some stand up players and some sand paper to play against teams like Phily, Boston and New Jersey.

Ian Laperiere and Mike Grier would help. I don't mean more goons along the lines of Laraque are needed, just some players with some toughness.

Anyways for some reason i see a lot changes in store this summer.
