For you who didn't see the World Cup game between Finland and the Czech Republic:

Mikko Koivu started out the game as center on a fourth line with Vancouver's Jarkko Ruutu and former LA and Boston player Mikko Eloranta on the wings. Most people thought Colorado's Riku Hahl would get the job as fourth line center, but he was named a healthy scratch. Very good job by a player who was considered not good enough for the World Championships.

The line didn't get that many minutes in the beginning of the game, but as Finland impressed and the goals came, the line played more and more.

Just as the minutes increased Koivu also grew into the game. He skated well and showed great work ethics. He is big and played quite pysichal when he got the chance. He notched one assist in the game. He carried the puck into the offensive zone and made a cross pass out to the defenseman (Timonen I think) who came in full speed and released a shot against Vokoun. Mikko Eloranta then put the rebound into a wide open net.
