Thanks everybody for the responses, I was losing my mind waiting to see the doctor. I visited the family physician and they of course referred me to an orthopedic surgeon, the same one who did the scope on my left knee 5 years ago. Right now, the diagnosis is an MCL strain and femur/patella contusion. He also suggested there could be a problem with the lateral meniscus as well as articular cartilage damage, which could have been pre-existing. I don't go to the specialist until next week and I am to continue resting it until then. Now I am paranoid about the meniscus, what fun. It feels nothing like torn meniscus when I was 19, which surprised me. Thanks again everyone, I'll probably post again when I know more
