Even with the game 2 blowout loss (where it looked like the Oilers were happy with a split on Long Island), their GAA for the series was 2.4. If you subtract that loss, in their 4 wins their GAA was 1.5.

Compare that to the rest of the year where in 38 games Moog posted a 3.77 GAA, and Fuhr's was 3.91 in 45. If you think it only the offense winning those games, check this; the Oilers scored approx. 5.6 goals a game in the regular season, but only 21 goals against the Islanders in 5 games, for a 4.2 goals per game.

Sure the offense drove the dynasty Oilers, but they weren't one way wonders.
Not disagreeing that they tightened up in the playoffs but you know as well as I do that they won by overpowering teams with their offense. They were hardly playing the trap.
