Ottawa's centers are Mike Fisher, Smolinski, Spezza and Todd White. JR is better than them at the moment, though Spezza could explode at any moment... so he very well could be the top-line center there as well, Ottawa is absolutely dying for a guy like JR in their forward corp, not to mention missing 20 games he outpointed all of them other than Spezza, who only had 55(8 more than JR) in 78 games.

JR is better compared to the rest of the league than you seem to think... but I do agree he isn't capable of carrying a weaker team depth wise, but in Philly he's fine considering the depth down the middle that we have. He isn't capable of doing 100 points anymore, especially in Hitch's system and the modern NHL, but to score 60+ pts on a team run by Hitch is no small thing.

How many players actually make it to 100 points in this day and age, anyway!
