Something only three other NHL markets can say:
There is an AHL team in town (although in Chicago, it's not even their own affiliate).
Comcast makes a healthy profit from the Phantoms. Great attendance for an AHL team, low salaries to pay obviously, and not an overloaded travel schedule, plus a building very suitable, and traditionally a very good team. They also don't have costs for radio and a production crew.
Thank goodness for the AHL.
CSN will most likely show a good amount of Phantoms games on TV, probably between 10-15 before January.
