That said, overagers like this one and several others usualy don't make it to the NHL. So before thinking of Montreal, he should have been considering... Hamilton.
Yes and no. If everyone desert CKAC when Villeneuve comes on (I know I do), it might work. But there are members of the media who can't be singled out like this. People won't stop buying and reading LaPresse even if they stop reading Réjaune... The Habs carved themselves an impressive niche here. Front page of the sports section. That way, you just can't ignore them easily.

Personally, I believe the blame should be placed on everyone involved:

-the fans, cuz like you said, we keep buying into that crap.
-the medias, cuz they became drama queens who should be working for US Weekly
-the Canadiens, cuz they don't have the guts to put the medias in their place.

Jeff Fillion had to pay that Meteomedia chick over 300k for saying she's stupid and only got her job because of her rack. I'm no lawyer, but all these accusations of doing drugs, partying with minors and all of it... Also, they could just kick the mediots out of the Bell Center. Write unfounded ***** about the players, your paper/radio station loses its media privileges for the rest of the season. Should Pierre Boivin ever find the spine to make the journalists accountable for what they say, all the excesses, spin experts and scandals could be gone by next season. But he won't, because it pays more to have a hockey team/reality TV show than making the players happy.
