I agree with Fletch on this one. He's not greedy, but this move probably isn't the smartest in the world either.

For a guy who was at one time pegged as the Rangers center of the future {and has the talent to be} he hasn't exactly been a dominating AHL player. His three stints featured a 59 point rookie campaign, 18 points in 20 games and a disappearing act for the playoffs.

Playing 100 plus games in the AHL doesn't mean he's moved on, it mean's that he's played 100 plus games at the AHL level.

Now if he went to Sweden or Finland or Russia I can argue that he might be facing some great competition, but Italy? Let's be realistic here.

This kid is running out of excuses {which it always seems to be}. In juniors it was an injury thing, than it was a wanting to be trading thing. In Hartford it was a needing to be moved to the wings thing, than a depressed about being sent down thing. Now it's a security thing and being beyond the minors thing.

I mean I've been a huge Lundmark supporter for years now but it's wearing thin.
