For any Toronto/Washington deal....I'd rather focus on Kubina, personally.

And until some Washington contracts are decided upon...not sure much can be done in terms of big name trades coming in with nothing of substance going out. We're assuming Fedorov, Kozlov, and Brashear are not returning...so that's over $7 million of space freeing up but that's also 3 forward positions that need to be filled either internally or externally.

Nylander is sucking 4.875 million of cap space down the tubes.

Some RFA's are going to be looking at raises or QO's...Morrisonn, Jurcina, Schultz, Gordon, Fehr.

With the Cap either staying the same or potentially going down...it's going to be tough to see the Caps making a move like this without another contract going the other way.
