Someone saw something they liked.
I mean, Bruce Graham was supposed to be a borderline 1st rounder, but he got drafted later. Olver was considered like a fourth or fifth round pick and the Rangers took him even higher.
Basically I think he has good size and decent physical tools. People differ on how much he's willing to use those tools. But the Rangers already have an enormous number of smurfs... taking a shot on some size is almost never a bad idea. Particularly not when you have all those picks and it's just a 2nd rounder . . .
