Callahan and Paiement are both '85s. However, Paiement was in his third season in the Q and didn't show much improvement between the first and second.
Callahan was only in his second season in the OHL and showed a 22 goal and 37 point improvement on his first season.
Paiement may have just adjusted to the level of play in the Q, or he may be a genuine late bloomer. I'm glad the knock on him is skating since that's fixable, and it's reassuring to know he's a physical defenseman.
We'll get a better read on him if he gets signed and plays for Hartford in the future. Definitely an interesting prospect.
