Martins was a big (I'd say the biggest) factor in the Leafs dominating the Sens in the playoffs. He stuck to his gameplan even when the situation called for change. When Toronto was hit with injuries and a weaker team, he played a tight defensive situation which limited Ottawa's creativity. A run and gun style, even for that 1 playoff series, would've helped his team much more. They played right into the hands of the Leafs who weren't looking to trade chances with Ottawa, since Ottawa was a much more potent team. Martins is decent at what he does, but I don't think of him as an elite coach in the NHL. I expect Montreal to be strong defensively and to ride that reputation as far as it'll take them.
