That being "clearly" your opinion doesn't make it "clearly" reality. I personally don't see Heatley returning "great" prospects or picks. I doubt he is bringing anything near that return.

I'm not sure I see people talking about a "pittance" of any kind in this thread. If anything, I think Isles fans have been repeatedly saying that they're not interested in putting together a deal for Heatley, and don't see Heately wanting to come to the Island. I also don't see Islander management as even being remotely interested in bringing in Heatley and that mutiyear multimillion contract.
Also, with regard to Pronger, first Heatley is not in that class. Pronger was the most dominant dman of his era, and Heatley is probably not even among the top half dozen forwards in the league. Right now, I'd easily rate Ovenchicken, Crosby, Malkin, Kovulchuk, Datysuk, and Parise above him, and that is without raising a sweat. I'd probaly also argue that guys like Carter, Staal, and Ignila are ahead of him as well. Heatley is a great player, yes, but unlike Pronger not the best.
Second, you are twisting the return that Pronger got. He didn't get "the fifth overall pick" - he got a player who was the fifth overall pick many years earlier, and who had failed to develop. That player was also under contract for only two more seasons.
He also returned two late firsts and a winger who showed promise but also some limitatoins. I would not be shocked to see Heatley return a similar package - a mid-tier vet, a few late picks, and a younger winger or two. That is quite far downstream from a package that include the first overall and Okposo.
In all honest, given the $ and all, I wouldn't expect the Isles to move Okposo straight up for Heatley. Okposo is making less than 1 million and has all the upside in the world. Giving up that kind of commodity for a player who will make 8 million next season, and who has now requested trades from two seperate cities, is a nonstarter.
Anyway, I'll go on return as saying that if Heatley is traded, he won't bring fair return. You can fell free to come back and taunt me if I am wrong.
