Doubt it.

Shirokov is a middling B-level prospect whose chances of making the team next year are likely well below 50% as it stands right now.

You make that sort of accomodation if you draft a Malkin or Ovechkin. Not for a 6th round pick.

I'm sure the club will hire an interpreter to work with him and some language coaches, and do everything possible to ease his transition. But that will be as far as it goes.
