He reminds me of Ron Francis, in looks. He plays much more like Daymond Langkow - in size, speed and game - than JR.

I watched him play (on TV) yesterday vs. St. Mike's.

He's a very smart player. Plays great D, passes well, shoots well, hits.

There are limitations, however. He's not really very big (although watching him beat the snot out of Corey Perry a couple weeks ago was fun) and he's not exceptionally fast - but he has some speed.

Realistically, he projects to a clutch checking centre who makes smart plays, takes draws etc. It will really depend how much offense he can contribute at the NHL level whether he can be a 2C behind Carter or a 3C behind Carter and Handzus 4 years from now.

Certainly in the next few years having Primeau and Handzus around will let Mike and Jeff develop at 4C and 3C, respectively, as they learn their way around the league.

This all presumes that Potulny doesn't turn out to be a better prospect for the 2C spot.
