He may not have been drafted for that purpose but he has been exceptional in that role as a matter of fact. With the wealth of talented centers like Loktionov and Schenn in the wings, can we really expect Lewis to beat them out for the 2nd line center job (as that is his intended role)? I doubt it. He will most likely settle in to the 3rd line in the future and will have to play a similar physical game and there's nothing wrong with that. The guy is a workhorse and deserves NHL minutes, even though they may be in limited capacity.
