i see it as a bit of a stretch to say a kid went from not even close to ready to completely ready simply by getting in better shape without playing hockey...he's definitely closer by getting in top shape, but he's gotta prove himself on the ice not in the lockerroom...

and most of all i think patience is ultra-important when dealing with hugh...
Pretty rough saying last year was a bad year...perhaps it'd be fairer to say that he didn't handle the additional attention and improve as much as expected
