Hossa would definately be a better fit in Calgary than Havlat. But I still wouldn't do the deal simply based on the fact that Hossa would be stuck behind Iginla, unless he was played out of position. If the Flames were trading for a RW, I'd rather get a guy who could fill a second-line role better, as opposed to wasting a talent like Hossa on the second-line.

However, in terms of winning long-term and in success for the franchise (what really counts) I feel the Flames need to stick with Regehr and Phaneuf. A strong defensive corps can carry you a long way. Of course it isn't the high flying, high scoring route -- but Flames success lies firmly on those two. They're essentially the Flames Stevens/Niedermayer, or Blake/Foote -- you just don't trade those types of players if you want to keep winning.
