Here's what he had to say about Dowd:

"72 – Nic Dowd
The draftee from Alabama has the steepest learning curve, as he is coming from arguably the least competitive league of the camp. Nevertheless, he was nearly unbeatable in face-offs on the second day, and he played relatively mistake free in the drills and with the time he was given. Unfortunately, his skills with the puck are below average, limiting his role and chance to make it as a professional.

Likelihood to make the NHL: 10%. I honestly don’t even see him making an impact at the AHL level, he’s probably going to be a depth player in the ECHL.

If he makes the NHL he will be a: 4th line defensive specialist. He might be able to translate his face-off abilities into being a clutch face-off guy, but don’t give him many minutes, based on what he’s shown."
