I agree with this. (I am going to try to put my personal bias aside here for a moment) Atlanta's biggest issue last year was defense/goaltending. While they have improved the defense with the addition of Kubina and subtraction of Exelby, they still have the same goaltending, which is erratic to say the least. Can Lehtonen stay stay healthy? If not, can Hedberg and Pavelec carry the load? Also, the longer Kovalchuck is not extended, how much of a distraction will that become?

As much as I hate to admit this, I think they will still be around in March, but I think they will fall short.
