Hey man I went through the same thing. I tore the tendon last year and left it alone. My shoulder dislocated 5-6 times after that.

The last time I popped it out I couldn't get it back in place myself so I had to go to the hospital and have them do it. They set me up with an appointment to see a specialist.

Initially, the doc was just gonna try therapy on it but he asked me how old I was and when I told him I was 19 he said I was better off having the surgury to fix it.

I had the surgury in February. My arm was in a sling for about 10 weeks. And after that it took maybe 3-4 weeks before I had full motion in my arm.

I definitly recommend the surgury if you can have it. Its just not worth the hassles and pains in the ass of having a shoulder that can pop out whenever.

Hope that helps. Anything else u want to know ask.
