The only players that stand to benefit from this are the players making millions and damned if it isn't a coincidence that they are the ones that can afford to hold out the longest.

The fact of the matter is that history has proven that the rank and file of the NHLPA do not benefit from these issues, only the most talented players, and it's not fair.

I would hope that a group of NHLPA members start up a faction that would vote out the current negotiating commitee and get in a group that will negotiate a deal that is fair for the total NHLPA and not just ensure that the rich continue to get richer.
