Since when is 68th (56th last year) in scoring amongst forwards a second liner? There were only 11 teams last season who had 3 or more forwards who scored more than Zherdev.

He'd be the third highest scoring forward on 10 teams.
He'd be the second highest scoring forward on 8 teams.

Sorry, Zherdev is not so one-dimensional that you can bump him from the first line on the majority of teams in the NHL. He was 60th and 37th in consecutive years in even strength points amongst forwards on different teams. Dude is good. You may think his effort is lacking or that he has too much untapped potential or whatever, but the plain fact is that his production and play makes him a first liner on most teams.
