It's the pension. I thought the players voted only on players who weren't with the team for the whole season? I could be wrong.

The types of players you will see include the guys who dominate in the top mens amateur leagues. The guys who are really good compared to the average guy, but nowhere near the skill level of an nhl'er. You will see career ECHL'ers the guy who is 32 and needs the paycheck, wants the thrill of playing in the NHL arena with an NHL uniform. A small handful or Rob Ray's who just do not care. This will be their time to be the the big fish in the little pond. I don't even think you'd see guys like Ken Gernander. The career AHL'er who has had a call-up or two. You will NOT see any young players who still have a shot to make the NHL under regular circumstances.
