Juraj Mikus is probably that sort of defenseman

Central Scouting Report: A skilled offensive defenseman… controls the puck well and is steady in his own end… has a good shot from the point and finishes his checks with authority… needs to improve his first step quickness and agility… sometimes plays more offensive then his skill permits… played 22 games with the senior Trencin team in the Slovakian league… played 42 games with Trencin Jr. totaling 24 points (9-15-24) and 72 penalty minutes in 2006-07.
His skating is just average but he is working on it and only going to get better. This very creative defender moves the puck well with nice passing skills or rushing it out himself. Has a good point shot but is best at flowing passes through him to other shooting outlets. His defensive play needs work as his positioning is weak and he doesn’t engage forwards nearly enough. His strength is his vision and creativity.
Those scouting reports are about 2 years old however
